Manual pot washing in sinks, consuming up to 4,869 liters of water a day.
The hotel restaurant was washing their pots and pans in a 3-sink system, letting utensils soak for hours before they could be scrubbed clean. This was time-consuming and created a lot of waste in water and chemicals.
The study revealed a 68% reduction in water consumption, which adds up to an annual saving of 1, 198, 015 liters of water. The site also experience improved working conditions for the staff and a better organisation of the work flow.
The Nor:disk solution removed the pre-washing step, which was now taken care of by the machine - a great benefit to the colleagues who perform this task.
By using the Nor:disk machine, colleagues are able to complete the work process faster and more efficiently. This, in turn, has improved productivity and reduced the number of persons needed in the kitchen (mainly Chinese production kitchen) from 2 to 1 person.
The solution also has a lower electricity consumption compared to previous pot washing machine, which supports the reduction of carbon emission and helps the eco environment.
